millions of working hours are spend every year stirring coffee. the coffee is usually stirred without much attention and stirred to long. the Hand Coffee Stirring Machine (HCSM) presented here is a modern and efficient solution to these problems. explanation of the Working Principle. the Hand Coffee Stirring Machine is an attempt to emulate the perfect stirring motion. analysing the perfect stirring motion one finds it to be slightly elliptical and having a slow and a fast phase. the machine works like this: the mechanical part includes a clamp that can be clamped on the rim of the cup, and a stirring mechanism that is basically a combination of two levers connected to each other so that the circular horizontal crank movement is transformed into a vertical ellipsoid spoon motion (see fig.3). the fast and slow phase are effectuated by the shifting of the crankpoint (P) moving to and from the turning point (A). designing the machine, a conscious decision was made in favour of sober and simple materials. for technical details see AT12 specs. developed by euroGenie management bv, production by Eauio bvba, Belgium |
