Check this link for an of the artwork commisioned by Centrum voor Beeldende Kunsten (CBK) Groningen project: Indoor illumination of the underground parking. Dynamic light work with a time based, relatively infinite, a-periodic sequence (TRIAS) by Peter Struycken. The variations in the colour mixing are based on the average speed of the cars that rotate around the illuminated core of the building. The absence of daylight makes it a perfect location to experiment with light. location: Q-Park, Ossenmarkt Groningen, Holland. technology: 20 RetroLux armatures with red, green, and blue 58W T8 fluorescent lamps supported by 20 stainless steel bases. The armatures are covered by frames with 8mm tempered glass and pressurized by low pressure nitrogen enriched air from a membrane dryer. Direct unfiltered illumination of the concrete interior. euroGenie extended Osram Electronic Fluorescent ballasts with OSRAM lamps.
