RGB halogen light track
here the track system is set up on the floor at the Groninger Museum in a exhibition about the
work of Peter Struycken.

64 halogen lamps with red, green and blue filters, are mounted in a folding truss. With the four sections folded, it fits in the back of a small Toyota van.

64 micro controlled dimmers are build between the lamps and linked by a current-loop network to a notebook PC in the control room.

proprietary software developed by Stichting Klankschap.

the dimmers need no cooling, make no noise and cause no radio-interference. one XLR connector for the data connects to a notebook PC in the control room, using the microphone grid of the theatre as a data network.

one 64 Amp connector to the 230 Volt power source. backstage cables are a growing problem these days. the whole system connects with only one power connector and one XLR connector for the data.

the track travelled for several years and is used for dance productions.

Plug-and-Play All the dimmers, controllers and cables are integrated in the structure. just hoist it up and plug it in.
